IGNORE JOURNEY NOISES

Updated: Jul 18

It is far better to ignore ridicule and thoughtless comments, than to stop, defend and explain yourself. For if you stop, you may prove them right and lose your momentum. But if you trust and build your purpose, in time, they will worship you, and they will be silent.
It is far better to ignore ridicule and thoughtless comments, than to stop, defend and explain yourself. For if you stop, you may prove them right and lose your momentum. But if you trust and build your purpose, in time, they will worship you, and they will be silent.

Example:

You decide to start going to the gym and taking your health very seriously. One day, while on your way to the gym, you run into a good friend and they immediately ask, “where are you headed?” You decide to let them know that you’ve decided to start going to the gym frequently because you are tired of being overweight and with low self esteem. You also mention that you plan to get into the best shape of your life! Surprisingly, they start laughing and proceed to say, “Please, haven’t you been trying to lose weight since like middle school? You and I both know this is just a temporary thing”. Instead of proceeding to try proving your motivation or becoming defensive, simply smile and say, “Yeah, you’re right. So, I heard you recently got engaged!” Then, digest their comment and continue on your journey. If you succeed, they will absolutely admire you and you will become their inspiration and idol.
